Let us journey on our way and I will go alongside you
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face. Shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6: 24-26
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever.
David and Goliath
The Lord is my shepherd
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Guard my soul and deliver me; do not let me be ashamed for I take refuge in you.
Be of good courage, and He shall strength your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires.
everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.
The Lord looks with favor on those who are godly. His ears are open to their cry.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Don't be impatient for the Lord to act, travel steadily along his path
God is our refuge and strength our ever present help in trouble
For this God is our God forever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death
With God's help we will do mighty things
God has given us these times of joy
A prayer of David.
1 Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
2 Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God;
3 have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
4 Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you.
5 You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
6 Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
7 When I am in distress, I call to you,
because you answer me.
8 Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
9 All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, Lord;
they will bring glory to your name.
10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.
13 For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.
15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and have mercy on me;
show your strength in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
just as my mother did.
17 Give me a sign of your goodness,
that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
It is well with the man who is gracious
The is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it
With all my heart I have sought you… your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not
sin against you.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path
The unfolding of your words gives light and gives understanding
Trust in God’s Word.
God is referred to as our helper
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy
May the Lord continually bless you with heaven’s blessing as well as with human joys
When I pray, you answer me; and encourage me by giving the strength I need.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you understand my thought from afar.
You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my
ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all.
How precious also are your thoughts to me. How vast is the sum of them! If I should
count them, they would outnumber the sand
Search me, O God, and know my heart.
The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds their wounds
How great is the Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!
Ask God for discernment: The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Don’t let kindness and truths leave you: bind them around your neck, write them on the
tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding.
21 My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight;
22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;
24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Wisdom will honor you if you embrace her.
Drink water from you own well, means be faithful to your own wife.
Rejoice in the wife of your youth. Be exhilarated always with her love. For why should you,
my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress and embrace the bosom of a foreigner? For the ways
of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and He watches all his paths.
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway. 35 For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the LORD.
Reprove a wise man and he will love you.
Those who talk a lot are likely to sin. But those who control their tongues are wise
A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown.
A wise man will listen to counsel.
Good understanding produces favor.
The wise women build her house, but the foolish tears it down with her own hands.
In a marriage, the wise person gives thought to their ways.
I will speak gently and keep my voice down. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh
word stirs up anger.
For the happy heart, life is a continual feast
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
The heart of the wise instructs his mouth, and adds persuasiveness to his lips.
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty and he who rules his spirit, than he
who captures a city.
He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
A friend loves at all times
He who obtains a lady (wife) finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord
When you support your husband and appreciate your husband, he will say that he has received
favor from the Lord.
The husband’s heart is to be a lover who sticks closer than a brother.
When a wife wisely applies respect, she is a wise wife given by the Lord.
The goal of understanding your mate is to hear them, not merely to tell them what you think.
Even if your spouse is not very talkative, love calls you to draw out the deep water that
dwells within them.
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established, and by knowledge the rooms are filled
with all precious and pleasant riches.
Better to live and share a house with a gracious wife
For where you treasure is, there will your heart be also
Keep on loving each other. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been
called according to his purpose.
So encourage each other to build each other up, just as you are already doing
1 Thessalonians 5:11
I always thanks my God as I remember you in my prayers.
Trust should be in the living God who always richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment
1 Timothy 6:17
God has given each of you some special abilities, be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others. God’s many kinds of blessings
1 Peter 4:10
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us
1 John 3:1
